- identify who is responsible for controlling cross-connections,
- explain federal and state responsibilities,
- summarize the issues relating to cross-connections and the National Primary Drinking Water Regulations,
- describe the cross-connection control responsibilities of the public water system, plumbing industry, fire industry and water customers,
- know the difference between containment and in-plant cross-connection control,
- explain the cross-connection control responsibilities of the plumbing industry, fire industry, and the customers or users of water,
- know and explain backflow hydraulics related to cross-connection control.
