RPZ in a No-Flow or Static State and Relief Valve Opened Discharging Continually First Check Fouled Open and Second Check Valve Closed Tight
Water will continually discharge from the relief valve if the first check valve is fouled open and the RPZ device is in a no-flow or static state. A no-flow condition can exist if the downstream shut-off valve is closed tight or if there is no water demand downstream of the RPZ.
